Youth Fishing Fun Day at Blackwater National Wildlife Refuge

Come enjoy a fun day of fishing for youths 15 and under on June 3, 2017, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.! Our event offers easy pond fishing for young people learning how to fish. Free loaner poles and bait will be available, and a free lunch will be provided by the Friends of Blackwater. Participants will also receive additional free goodies. Staff will be on hand to assist with casting, knot tying, and fishing.

The event is located at Hog Range Pond, on Route 355, approximately 5 miles south of Churck Creek, Maryland, near Blackwater NWR. Park at the Harriet Tubman Underground Railroad Visitor Center pavilion across from Blackwater NWR. Sorry, pets are not permitted.
