Just Eagles
hardcover book, 126 pages - $29.50
Back Cover Description: "Just Eagles celebrates the bald eagle's majestic beauty and power with photographs and text
that take you up into the treetops for an intimate view of eagle family life, then soaring on
an eagle's first flight, and all across the continent, from Alaska to Maine to Florida, to see
and understand the lives of eagles. The text tells you how to find, watch, and photograph eagles
without disturbing them. To deepen your understanding, the author fills you in on how bald eagles
mate and raise their young, what they eat, and when and where they migrate, while pointing out
the bird's unique features: the famous eagle eyes, strong talons, and extraordinary hunting
abilities of this amazing bird of prey."

Quiet Please-Eaglets Growing
hardcover book, 30 pages - $11.95
(children ages 4-8)
With beautiful illustrations by
David Aiken, Carolyn Stearns tells the story of a young boy who watches a pair of eagles as they nest in
a stand of oak trees on the property near his school. When the land is sold to a company that wants to
build condominiums, the boy wonders what will happen to the eagle family. Eventually, he and his classmates
convince many people in the community to become involved in a plan to save the eagles' nesting site. The
story is appealing for its look at the remarkable bird that is America's national emblem. At the same time,
children are encouraged to learn that their voices can be heard.
